From everywhere where the good teachings of Jesus Christ reached, representatives have come to convene the great Imperial Diet to discuss the matters important to kingdoms, republics and despotates the world over. Once again it assembles in the grand holy city of Reme under the auspices of the Pope. This Diet, as with every Diet, the meeting began with a speech by his holiness Sixtus III. "Brothers of the faith, We welcome you to Reme once again, and We welcome the dove of peace and prosperity to the lands of the holy see. Grand changes have come over our many lands in the last few years, with many a squalid polity falling apart before the grand wheel of Time and the judgement of Our Lord. Those kingdoms that did not stand the test of time will be forgotten, and those that still stand proud will be remembered always as the most devoted to Christ and his teachings.
At the last Diet, this noble assembly managed to pass into being a new holy order upon the northern isle. For this, We thank the Diet for their foresight in coming together for the betterment of Christianity. Surely such endeavours will have wonderous effects for all involved, and the Lord does see your successful cooperation and you will be rewarded at the gates of Heaven.
Finally, We would raise the issue of the rumors swirling around Christendom that the teachings of Heathen have breached our most easterly frontier. This greatly alarms us, and We would ask the Diet to investigate such claims and react accordingly, as soon as possible.
Thank you once again for your attention and your attendance. May the Peace of Christ be eternal.

Allectus entered the meeting hall along with his usual entourage. At this point, they already knew what to do and went to sit at the audience stands while Allectus and his most trusted advisor sat among the delegates. Allectus listened intently to the Pope’s words and whispers a few things to his advisor. They would remain silent and ready to participate when a topic of interest presented itself. He waved to an attendant to bring something to eat and drink during the proceedings.

Duke Gary of Green Castle would, like in the previous diet, show his respects to the pope before going to his seat and listening to the Imperial Diet.

Well, I suppose I’ll start with the most pressing matter on my agenda. We have an excess of lumber (either one or two resources depending on negotiations with a kingdom). We are open to trading for another resource.
Otherwise. I motion we close the Diet.

Allectus would stand to speak.
My good Lord Gewisse, this is not an open air market in the main plaza of the Gewissen capital, nor are we merchants peddling lumber, fish and other goods.
We are above such things my Lord.
This is a meeting of the Imperial Diet in the presence of God’s representative on Earth, His Holiness the Pope.
We should give these proceedings all due respect owed to it.
And as such, the main matters I wish discussed are as followed:
1)An estimated cost to maintain and/or expand the Order of the Ichtus
2)Christendom’s response to the murder of pilgrims to the Holy Land
3)The incursion and settlement of Tartars in the region

The Lord-Speaker gestured and a scribe scribbled down the discussion points suggested by the Consul Allectus.
I would also like to add that an election for a Lord-Speaker must occur at this session or the opening of the next session for the next 10 years, as required by law.
Topics for this Diet, thus far, are as follows:
1)An estimated cost to maintain and/or expand the Order of the Ichtus
2)Christendom’s response to the murder of pilgrims to the Holy Land
3)The incursion and settlement of Tartars in the region
4)New Election for the Lord-Speaker
Also, would the scribes of the Imperial Diet present the total sum donated to the Order of the Ichtus as of present day?
I can personally say that the Despotate has donated a sum of 1,000 florins to the island colony.

What better venue to enhance the prosperity and friendship via trade than the Diet. Where all leaders be gathered at once.

Work is underway to construct a town upon the island, but the funds for a castelleum are still lacking.

For 02, do we have more information on where these pilgrims were massacred? Was it somewhere in the peninsula itself? I heard it was on neutral lands but I'm unclear on whether that's inside the peninsula or outside it entirely.
For 03, do we have any recent information on the Tartars?

I heard it was on neutral lands but I'm unclear on whether that's inside the peninsula or outside it entirely. For 03, do we have any recent information on the Tartars? I will take this opportunity to lay out the facts of the Tartar situation. The Tartars which raided Turicia have gone away, as far as we know. Tartars and other types live in the neutral lands between our realms and we suspect they have gone there. One tribe of Tartars petitioned our court for permission to settle in Percia. Provided they accepted Christ, they were given permission to settle in our new lands acquired via war and colonization that we are trying to develop. They were not given permission to settle in the Percian home provinces. They will, if they accept God and Christ, work hard on our frontier and make lives for themselves, be permitted to remain. There is no problem with Tartars at the present moment.
