The Heralds of Tyramo
The Tyramo Guild of Heralds and Town Criers send out their hundreds of members throughout the cities and towns of the Republic to spread daily news and make official announcements in every major town square and gathering place where people may congregate, discuss, and openly debate about what they’ve heard. Edicts and other official pronouncements are printed on flyers and put up throughout the cities and towns for all to read.

A well dressed herald stands atop the ancient rostra facing away from the Senate House of Tyramo. His words have been transcribed and distributed to all other heralds throughout the Republic so the same message can be heard throughout the Republic at the same time.
“Rejoice Citizens!
This is now the third year of the grain dole implemented by Consul Allectus de Gallia after the census of 1200 showed a marked increase in births throughout the Republic. The use of the ancient grain dole to aid the neediest unlanded families in the cities and countryside of the Republic has guaranteed the health and wealth of future citizens. The orphanages of Tyramo and Gallia are recording their lowest numbers since established long ago by the friars of the Order of St Vincent and St Jules. God, in his divine wisdom, is surely guiding the decisions of our Consul for the betterment of our Republic.”

“A city in flames!
Take Heed Good people of Tyramo,
A great conflagration consumed a good portion of the city of Gallia for reasons and causes unknown.
The quick response by Consul Allectus de Gallia ensured there would be soldiers to maintain order in the city and funds have been disbursed to the local city council for reconstruction efforts.
The people were most grateful for a personal visit from the Consul to the devastated parts of the city to show solidarity with his hometown and to assure them that their plight is not being ignored by the Republic.
We shall not allow the evil actions of the Devil to divide the children of God!”

The well dressed herald stood once more atop the ancient rostra facing away from the Senate of Tyramo to address the people of the capital. Heralds throughout the Republic were standing on similarly raised platforms throughout the Republic to give the same announcement for all to hear
“Good and Gentle Citizens of Tyramo!
Consul Allectus de Gallia has recently instituted a grand building plan to upgrade the status of the second major city of the Republic, his hometown and name sake of Gallia. Contractors and free laborers are welcome to inquire about jobs and contracts to assist in the planned expansion and growth of the city. We expect that this investment in the second largest urban center in the Republic will yield greater investment, trade and job opportunities to its residents and those in its surrounded areas. Both rich and poor, landed and unlanded, merchant and peasant will greatly benefit from this expansion and contribute to the greater prosperity of the Republic as a whole. Praise be to God and the eternal wisdom and guidance provided by Him to our good Consul for our continued wealth and prosperity!”

“Citizens of Tyramo,
A great plague has struck the cities and towns of our fair Republic!
A plague of dancing!
It has been reported throughout the Republic that men, women and children of all ages, classes and statuses have been compelled against their will to gyrate their hips, flail their bodies and throw up their arms in the air uncontrollably without care for common decency in the most public of places. The urban authorities believe this may be caused by excess drinking in the pubs and bars, however religious authorities are certain this is a direct attack by the devil against the God fearing peoples of the Republic.
Consul Allectus de Gallia, with consultation with the Cardinal of Tyramo, religious scholars and the temporal authorities has issued that any and all individuals afflicted with this disease are to be confined to their homes and cared for by their families until the symptoms subside and the demons have stopped tormenting their souls. Those without family to care for them will be remanded to the nearest charitable hospital or holding facility to ensure their ailment does not cause them any harm and they can no longer interrupt the daily lives of their fellow Christian neighbors.
Be on the lookout for any sightings of individuals who exhibit these symptoms and report it to your nearest watchman patrols or guard towers.”

The usual herald is not present today. Instead a well dress, lean individual dressed with the finest clothes and wearing multiple chains and jewelry along with various insignia and pins demonstrating his membership in various trade and merchants guilds stands atop the ancient rostra facing those who gather to hear the news, debates or public speakers in the Forum Tyramos.
“Good Citizens, Travelers, Merchants, Traders and All other manner of businessmen,
It is to be known among all of the Realms from the Kingdom of Gewisse to the very edges of Christendom in the Caelian Republic and Kingdom of Percia, that the tradesmen of Tyramo are in the market to trade various Fish and Salts, along with Pitch and Tar, for other goods.
We are most interested in exchanging said goods for Granite and Grapes.
However we are most amenable to any deals for cold hard gold or silver.
To those interested parties, please convey a message to the nearest Tyramos Merchants and Tradesmen Guild in your local city in order for negotiations to begin.
Peace, prosperity and God’s fortune to you all.”

The principal herald of the City of Tyramo stands atop the ancient rostra of olden days. The man is well dressed and pomp. The very state of the Republic is represented by the Herald’s appearance.
“Good Citizens and Peoples of the Republic!
What we have witnessed in the last 11 years of Consul Allectus de Gallia’s time in office is nothing short of an economic, political and national miracle!
More Tyramans have larger coin purses, more servants, lands and options than at any time since the days of the Reman Empire.
Since Consul de Gallia’s election, the various ministers and scholars report the following improvements:
-Available arable lands in the Republic has nearly doubled along with the size of the Republic itself.
-State coffers report a 50% increase of revenues.
-The Consul’s standing with both the people and the Pope in Reme is at an all time high.
-The city of Gallia now rivals Tyramo in terms of importance and grandeur.
-A new city and colony is planned to be completed within 3 years.
-The Consul continues a grand building program in the cities to demonstrate Tyraman wealth and prosperity.
And let us not forget the recent election of the Consul to the position of Speaker of the Imperial Diet in Reme!
God surely looks down on the Republic with warmth and love. May we continue being recipients of his grace, mercy and love for generations!
