Everyone is now calling High King Maurianus 'The Bug Eater'.

Rumors are that the Most Holy Kingdom of Eriburn and the Old Kingdom of Thorgerheim fought a hotly contested battle which saw well-ordered and equipped heavy infantry hold the line against heavy cavalry from Thorgerheim. It is said that Thorgerheim had to leave the field.
Some merchants talk of a great battle between the Republic of Caelin and the High Kingdom of Phalus, with the Caelins being ejected from besieging the capital of Phalus. Apparently it was a blood affair, with many peasants dying for the scrap of land. What is known for sure is that the southernmost city of the Republic has fallen to Phalus forces.

Merchants and common folk are aglow with rumors from the Moslem world. Supposedly some magnificent new technology has come into use amongst the infidels, something amazing which--while surely heretical--improves...something. Exactly what this new technology is isn't quite clear, but it is changing the world and God willing the infidels will not hold their secrets for long. Some even go so far as to say there may be a Christian land where this technology has already appeared.

The Battle of Ludendorff's Bog was fought between the Military Order of Christ and the Kingdom of Starsovo. Described as a muddy, bloody, mess. A unique moment was when the messenger of the Kingdom of Starsovo seemingly blathered for hours, some say possessed, and was led to salvation by the warriors of Christ before the slaughter commenced.

The Battle of Bonnhomie, a clash between the Most Holy Kingdom of Eriburn and a coalition of Old Thorgerheim and Turicia is said to have been fought and won by the Eriburnians. It was a sluggish affair, with cavalry playing little role and a mighty clash of infantry in the center. In the end, superior Eriburnian infantry fought off a larger peasant levy army. As a result, the Pope excommunicated the Old Kingdom of Thorgerheim, the consequences of which are yet to be known.

The bloody flux has broken out in the Canton of Helvetia! The people have suffered tremendously from this affliction; the streets ran with blood...and flux. Thankfully for all, their wise Landvogt ordered streams diverted and the cities have been washed clean of their filth. It is said they constructed some ancient Remen work to achieve this.
The peoples of the Merchant Republic of Caelin collude with infidels! They live and mingle freely with them to the point one can recognize a Caeliner by their Moorish accent.
In the Holy Order of Christ, a parade for the ages was held in their capital depicting their glorious victory over the Kingdom of Starsovo. The common folk indulged in exaggerated reenactments throughout the streets, feigning the wholesale slaughter of Christ's foes. The festivities reached a crescendo when the Grandmaster himself slayed a visage representing both Satan and Starsovo.

The Battle of Thorger was a another bloody affair in the conflict between The Most Holy Kingdom of Eriburn and the Old Kingdom of Thorgerheim. This time however, Eriburn proved itself to be leagues above its opposition, and thoroughly routed the enemy army with the help of mercenary regiments. It is rumored the mercenaries were bought and paid for by His Holiness the Pope himself to combat the excommunicated and disgraced Thorgerheimians.

The High King Maurianus Bug Eater is besieged by massive codpieces! Throughout the Phallic Kingdom the men have taken to wearing codpieces, something of a competition has been aroused among them as to who might sport the grandest cod. Their King appears to have no interest in the events of his Kingdom, and now cloisters himself away from his people, much to their consternation.
The Kingdom of Turicia was ravaged by marauding bands of Tatars! The countryside pillaged to a point life is scarce and hidden away. King Hatar seems to not care for the events of his Kingdom, and it is believed his inaction led to much devastation. The Tatars seem to be on the move in the region, though only Turicia knows which direction they are now moving.

It is now speculated that a realm somewhere in Christendom is vigorously searching for or might even already possess the rumored Moslem technology. If any have, they've surely paid a king's ransom in florins to possess such a powerful, though still unknown, thing.
Scholars postulate that these are all mere rumors and any truly revolutionary technology would be clearer and likely still some years away. Calling these real or imagined efforts fools errands.

At the Battle of Thorogood Field the armies of Percia and Turicia faced each other. Both forces were impressive in size and the might of their lands stood on the field. Despite the malady afflicting horses it was clear from the onset the stock of Percia was sturdier than most while Turicia's forces were more numerous.. The whole affair was bloody and hundreds are said to have fallen, but eventually the superior equestrians of Percia helped to throw back Turicia's army.

At the Battle of Ivangrad, a joint Military Order of Christ and Argent Despotate army decisively defeated a numerically inferior Starsovian force that attempted to keep the allied army from encroaching and besieging Ivangrad. The battle was marked by the central melee which saw thousands of lightly equipped infantry storming across the field. The Starsovian forces were overcome by the sheer numbers put on the field by the allied army. Now the allied army stands poised to besiege the capital of Starsovia.

Huge numbers of infidel soldiers and mercenaries have been seen in the Merchant Republic of Caelin. Rumor is the Archbishop has fled with all haste for Reme, abandoning his home and fleeing on a donkey in his vestments.
Some even go so far as to say that the border of Christendom has fallen back to the western border of Caelin.

The Canton of Helvetia nearly fell into civil war after a man slept with almost every noblewomen in the country. It is rumored the man named Chad fled the Canton with damsel in arms. Their ruler seems to have minimized the damage, somehow.
The peoples of the Argent Despotate have taken to drinking ciders as their main imbibement. A jovial people, orchards are said to abound in the lands, and the kingdom prospers.
The rumored infidel technology is now widely believed to be inside Christendom. Most believe it is a military technology, though scholars argue it is used for peace. The church condemns its use in the strongest terms.
The Military Order of Christ has taken to flagellation in honor of Saint Humperdinck. The streets flow with penance and the Pope is said to smile on the peoples of the Order, even ceremonially flagellating himself a lil bit.
A Phallic milkmaid left a lantern near her dairy cow, who kicked it over and began a fire which raged for days and left much of the Phallic Capital in ashes. The region is said to have suffered other, smaller fires, during a very dry summer.
Several bands of mercenaries are said to have been seen in the Kingdom of Kressia, though it is unknown if their services were hired.

The rumored technology is now believed to be used for peace. The church has not changed their stance, but has formed their own internal Diet to discuss at length what it might be and if they should.
It is widely believed in Christendom that the nearest nation to the northern border is the Sultanate of Dobrogea. Where exactly their borders begin, how large they are and if they are aggressive or not are all unknowns, but their existence is now fairly certain.
Likewise throughout the south of Christendom the Tatar hordes appear to still be migrating through, since their near total devastation of the doubly occupied Turician Kingdom they have avoided stable Christian realms, and simply move on if their armies are seen marching anywhere. It is believed they home east of the boundaries of Christendom but they have not returned in some time, and may be looking for a place to settle, or some darkly suggest, have found employment and are moving towards that purpose.

The reactions to the great counterfeit crisis have been many. There are those who maneuver to profit, those who suffer, and those who try to rise above. Some nations it seems are now attempting various monetary, fiscal or even legislative reforms to deal with the crisis. One nation seems to be unifying states to switch to an entirely new currency, while others move to print their own. With new currencies entering the market, many returning to barter, complex filtration schemes and simple gold exchange all now being touted as solutions it looks like this increasingly complex crisis will be with the Christian peoples for quite some time.
